Camille Smith

Picture
Camille Smith is a chemical engineer, award-winning social entrepreneur, and the founder of STEM So(ul)cial—an emerging global third space reimagining community and career support for aspiring and established Black STEM professionals. In 2025 alone, STEM So(ul)cial hosted over 40 events across the U.S. and U.K., and its impact has been featured in Ebony.

By day, Camille is a Senior Upstream Process Development Scientist in the biopharmaceutical industry; by night, she is a storyteller and strategist helping multi-hyphenates build careers that don’t require them to shrink. She hosts STEM Talks on Tap, a live podcast and event series exploring personal, professional, and technical development, and she runs Diary of a Multi-Hyphenate, a newsletter and community providing actionable insights for multi-passionate people to succeed on their own terms. Camille also reaches audiences digitally as a growing lifestyle content creator, where she uses storytelling to humanize the STEM experience and model what it looks like to build a life with multiple interests.

A recipient of the BGLM STEM Champion Award and the Meritorious Service Award, Camille speaks at national conferences, universities, and leadership forums on representation in STEM, social impact, and the future of work for multi-talented leaders."
