Basia Holowenczak

Basia Holowenczak is a sophomore Presidential Scholar at Villanova University majoring in Statistics and minoring in Business. She is passionate about creating spaces in predominantly male dominated fields where women are heard and finding ways to support individuals who belong to underrepresented groups in tech. On campus, she is a Lorenzini Ambassador for the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership, a member of the Sophomore Service Learning Community, and a participant in service through Community Outreach of Villanova, NOVADance, and Special Olympics Fall Festival. After completion of her undergraduate degree, she intends to attend law school and pursue cybersecurity or privacy law. Her past internship experience includes supporting attorneys at Northeast Legal Aid in their work fighting evictions connected to the Covid-19 pandemic. She is hopeful to continue to get more involved in the tech industry with internships in the upcoming summers.
