Mackenzie Jorgenson

Mackenzie Jorgensen, CLAS ’20, is a Lorenzini Leadership Ambassador at the McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership where she focuses her efforts on inspiring the next generation of women technologists. She is a senior majoring in Computer Science and Philosophy and has had extensive research experience during her time at Villanova which has included researching human-computer-interaction and using machine-learning cluster-algorithms to analyze big data on preterm births in Puerto Rico. Additionally, she spent two summers in Germany conducting AI research, programming agents to communicate and utilized Automated Machine Learning to detect abusive language on Twitter.  After graduation, Mackenzie plans to pursue a PhD in Computer Science.
