Madison Matella
Madison Matella is a Junior pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at Villanova University. She is extremely interested in the field of Alzheimer's and geriatrics, finding her passion for caring for older adults with dementia when volunteering at a Memory Care facility. She is also Vice President of Villanova Reach-Out, which aims to reduce loneliness in older adults through weekly phone calls. In addition, Madison serves as a Resident Assistant and Teaching Assistant, as well as co-coordinator of the Fiat Catholic Women’s Group. She is working on publication for her research with Dr. Elizabeth Dowdell on the relationship between sleep and technology in ER nurses, and she has presented a poster on the Factors that Affect Sleep in Nursing Students at the Undergraduate Research Symposium. Madison is in the Honors Program, on the Dean’s List, and is a Center for Faith and Learning Scholar.
